Writing

So, I've been trying to write a book recently, the only problem being that I base nearly every character on myself. like the lead, Violette Moore (Moore means he who waits in the marsh lands. it fits her so perfectly!) feels like she's losing everything, of course she is a lot more dramatic interpretation of me, but she still reflects who I am, or at least who I was.

Also another problem I've run into is that I base my characters on who I wish I was. like the person who helps the lead, Sophia, is intelligent, stunning, confident, and knows what she wants out of life. she's everything I'm not. I find this type of thing happening with a lot of writers, because real creativity is a very hard thing to come by. I certainly haven't found mine yet (except in poetry, but we're talking about fiction) The main problem, I think, is that so many writers are afraid to go outside of their comfort zone in order to create something truly spectacular. I mean, look at the great writers through history. Edgar Allan Poe was completely different than what his time period would have expected, and look how famous he is now.

I don't know exactly what the point of posting this was. Maybe it was to convince myself to right something great, like that will ever happen. Ha.

As always, I love you guys, goodnight :)

Just you, Just me

Giving up on getting free
And giving up on loving me
Giving up on letting go
Giving up to let you know
That the end is near
It was for years
But now I know it’s true
Cause the only thing I’m living for
I’m living just for you

The blood is sweet
My tears are blind
I’m on my feet
I’m in my mind
Your love is here
And so am I
But so is fear
The fear of mine

My heart is trapped
By simple things
Madness, sadness, emotion brings
I’m bad cause I’m different
I know that’s what you meant
When you said that I’m not me
Cause I haven’t changed unless for you
Your words stick to me like I’m glue
But you promised that you wouldn’t leave
And look where we are
Just you
Just me
